Welcome to SCOOP
SCOOP aims to be THE global platform for people involved in collecting marine and oceanographic observations in a cost-effective way. We started in Spring 2024, with a team formed by experts in the field, driven by the passion for marine observation and the desire to provide access to observation methods to all.
The current coordination team consists of:

- Emilie Breviere - SMHI, Sweden
- Peter Thijsse - MARIS, the Netherlands
- Antonio Novellino - ETT, Italy

SCOOP is currently supported by developments in several European and global initiatives: LandSeaLot, EMODnet, JERICO, GOOS, COAST-PREDICT and ECSA.
